As a member of the HMC Global strategic Team, and reporting directly to the CEO of HMC, the Human Resources Director will have the responsibility to focus globally on organization effectiveness, talent management including diversity and inclusion, organization culture and performance management of our HR activities to ensure to grow our business.
Considering its multicultural dimension and the company culture, he/she supports change and encourages conditions conducive to engagement and performance in line with the Group's values and principles of actions.
Managing the overall HR operations leveraging and developing the HMC HR organization spread over 3 regions in a matrix organization with 70 permanent positions and 5 direct reports.
The BU has 2000 permanent employees in 27 countries having with a global footprint and an overall business of ~400M€.
You are a strong leader who can deliver credible solutions, build relationships at all levels, and with functional peers keeping in mind the big picture in a changing environment.
You will represent the BU within the Group by participating to the Group HR Committee (GHRC) and promote collaboration across Limagrain Vegetable seed BUs and the HR corporate Limagrain team.
The position is based in France (Portes les Valence) or in the US (Davis, California)
Travel by air and overnight, as required approximately 30% amount of time.

Primary HR leader and thinking partner for the CEO, you integrate Global business strategy into the global HR people strategy and Limagrain vegetable seed strategic initiatives and act as advisor on people, organization, business issues.
You partner closely with the leadership teams to drive the cultural shift needed to achieve top priorities. You identify and address opportunities for greater efficiency, agility, and standardization that is consistent with the company's ambition.
You partner with business leaders to develop and execute both short- and long-term organizational effectiveness strategies that directly support an effective transition to achieving results.
You act as an organizational coach who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity, and partners with clients to maximize team performance. Provide strategic coaching to key employees as related to succession planning, career path development, and performance management.
You support and advise Directors and Team Leaders in their HR-related decisions, helping them to integrate the HR variable into their strategic decisions, and providing support in the development of their teams
You serve as a purpose led, performance driven leader to build productive relationships and collaboration with a strong focus on motivating and developing talent while leading by example.
Your focus has to BE on :
- Attractiveness and retention, talent assessment, selection, leadership and capability development and performance management process across the region pulling the relevant reward levers to deliver business and talent benefits.
- Employee engagement, employee satisfaction
You have to model and integrate diversity and inclusion objectives.
You monitor workforce analytics/trends : diagnose root causes or issues and identify performance gaps
You ensure that HR objectives and plans are translated into concrete actions and tangible results.
Accountable for all HR operations activities within the business unit/function, ensuring IT is in alignment with global strategies, processes and procedures but also regulation and policies.
You lead and develop the HR team elevating business support to create and reinforce the employee experience.
As a member of the HMC Global Strategic Team, you will participate the decision making on the 360° decision of the direction of the business unit.

Le profil recherché

Functional/hard skills :
Strong HR background with broad HR knowledge in recruitment and employer branding, organizational management, training and development, succession plan, workforce planning, employee labor relations, compensation and benefit, safety.
Solid experience in leading and coaching teams either direct reports or functional reports.
Strong computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as experience with HR systems
English and French proficiency is mandatory, a third language will BE a +

Background :
10+ years of senior-level business partnership experience in a global, complex, international business Corporation with a large-scale, highly-distributed, matrixed business with global operations.
Successfully operated as an integral part of an executive management team, contributing in business areas beyond HR.
Education :
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and a minimum of 10+ years of experience leading a progressive Human Resources department.
Master's Degree Preferred 10-plus years operating
